The host asked me, in the current economic downturn, Gumei is able to do well alone and develop rapidly. What is the magic weapon to win? I answered that if Gome had any magic weapon to win, it was because we saw the future and laid out the future.
Gumei started trading in 1995. In 1998, our sales performance was the best in Quanzhou. At that time, I was planning our future, when can we start our own production plant. At the beginning of 2006, the warehouse we built had not been opened yet. We signed an agreement with the Dongtian Town Government to build a production plant in Dongtian. At that time, almost no one understood why the factory was built in such a remote ditch. The reason for choosing Dongtian is that I see the potential of local development in the future. What I plan is the development of Gumei in ten, decades or even a hundred years.
As you know, the profit of traditional manufacturing industry is very low. So, where is the future of traditional manufacturing industry? I think the first is scale. In 2007, after we put into operation in Nan'an Stainless Steel Plant, I set my sights on the stainless steel industry center and set up a stainless steel plant in Foshan, Guangdong Province. In 2013, after our aluminium factory put into operation, in 2014, I began to visit all parts of the country, looking for the future direction of investment and development, and soon tied up with Huai'an. After the first phase of the stainless steel project in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province started to put into operation, there appeared two booms in production and marketing in a month, even the situation of short supply and demand. Four production centers in Gumei, Nan'an Dongtian, Ximei, Foshan and Huai'an, have planned capacity of more than 400,000 tons. Large-scale operation can share resources and information, reduce procurement and operation costs, increase brand effect, increase sales and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
The future is to see and discover with eyes. In recent years, the company's top managers have become flying men in the air, to the whole country, around the world to investigate. In developed countries, we understand the future direction of the industry. In developing countries, we understand the future direction of the market. Seeing is believing.
